"Some people like dogs.
Some people even love them.
I just think that dogs will help us solve Mankind's biggest challenges."

I'm Emmanuel - founder of Treat Therapeutics - a decentralised, ethical clinical research organisation for pets. What that means is that we work with real dogs to do real good science. I'm in the business of saving your dog's life. And in doing so - hopefully your life too.

It sounds mad - but I've spent enough time around life sciences to know that the craziest ideas tend to be the ones that work. Because biology - behind its sterile labs and white coats - is the wild west.
I graduated from UCL with a Master's in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in "Intelligent Systems" (a.k.a today's AI). I spent some time working on brain research, the microbiome and wearable medical devices.
I am fascinated by a lot of things - quantum physics, simplifying biological systems, robotics, product design - and think that being 'multidisciplinary' isn't actually a positive trait.
It's just a core function of being human which we have sadly lost over the years.

My mum is an art major from L'Ecole du Louvre. My dad was an aeronautical engineer. I grew up with my own toolkit under my desk and played card games about the Impressionists.
I grew up in Singapore and am a Captain of an infantry company in the Singapore Army (Officer Commanding, Charlie Company, 773 Bn).
I have a dog named "Charlie" - she was a stray born on my army base - hence her name. She is my life's joy and my patient 0 - solving her allergies dropped me into the world of pet health. I think she holds the answers to life's mysteries.
I love reading. Fiction & Non, Novels & scientific papers.
I'm the eldest of 4 children and love them all very much.
I lost my dad when I was 24.
Oh and sometimes I write. This one is for you.
